The police responded to the wreck at around 12:30 p.m. on March 21 near northbound 17 Freeway and North Black Canyon Highway.
A vehicle hit a pedestrian on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately disclosed, sustained severe injuries.
