Riverside, CA. – A 79-year-old man was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Mount Vernon Street in Riverside Friday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at around 1:55 p.m. on March 22 on Mount Vernon Street and East Big Spring Road.
Investigators said the man was crossing the streets when for unknown reasons a vehicle hit him.
The man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
More details about the wreck was not provided.
An investigation is underway.
