Sutter County, CA – A 24-year-old man was killed in a traffic collision involved car and a big rig Friday morning in Sunset, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the crash happened around 4:27 a.m. to northbound Highway 99 just south of Paseo Road near Live Oak.
Responding officers found a big rig lodged into a fence and a compact car blocking the roadway.
According to the CHP, the 24-year-old man operating the compact car was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
