Long Beach, CA – A 47-year-old man died after being struck by two vehicles in Long Beach Sunday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 9 p.m. on May 18 at Pacific Coast Highway and Santa Fe Avenue.
Authorities said the male pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 27-year-old Wilmington resident driving westbound on PCH.
After the initial crash, the pedestrian was then struck by a vehicle operated by a 50-year-old Long Beach resident.
Long Beach Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene, as per the police.
The two drivers remained at the scene after the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
