, CA. – A man has died after being struck by a car as he rode a bicycle last week Friday in Watsonville.

The bicycle accident happened around 1 p.m. on Main Street near Rodriguez Street, according to Watsonville Police.

The man was riding a bicycle in the area when he was struck by a Toyota sedan driven by a 31-year-old man.

The 57-year-old man was transported to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries earlier this week.

The sedan driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
