Orangevale, CA – An elderly man died after he was hit by a vehicle along an Orangevale road Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened just after noon on Friday on Greenback Lane, east of Almond Avenue.
CHP said the pedestrian, identified only as an 82-year-old Fair Oaks resident, was not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The man died from the injuries sustained.
The involved driver remained at the scene after hitting the man.
