Phoenix, Ariz. – A man and a woman sustained critical injuries after they were hit by a car Wednesday evening near an intersection in Phoenix, police said.
The accident happened around 6:40 p.m. near 44th Street and Osborn Road.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the pedestrians lying on the ground.
The victims were taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.
Authorities did not mention how the accident occurred.
The driver involved remained at the scene.
