Man Critically Hurt after Driver Fleeing Police Crashes into Sacramento Home

, California (August 4, 2022) – A woman led Sacramento police on a chase Thursday evening and ended up crashing into a home, seriously injuring a man.

At around 6 p.m. on August 4, police stopped a driver with “multiple felony warrants.” The driver briefly stopped but then sped off, prompting a police chase.

The chase ended at 8100 Valley Hi Drive when the fleeing pickup crashed into a home, severing a gas line.

The man in the home was critically injured. Emergency responders rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment. Authorities said he expected to survive.

The woman driving the pickup was arrested and booked into jail. She faces charges related to the chase and several other warrants.

PG&E responded to the scene to repair the damaged gas line.
