Man Airlifted after Apple Valley Crash on Kiowa Road near Roundup Way
Apple Valley, California (February 4, 2022) – A man was airlifted to a hospital after being involved in a T-bone collision with another driver in Apple Valley on Friday afternoon.
At around 12:14 p.m., a Tesla driver attempted to overtake vehicles and T-boned an older model Honda Civic trying to make a left turn into the Hilltop Tavern and Inn located near Kiowa Road and Roundup Way.
Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District were called to the scene and they extricated the driver of the Honda using the jaws of life.

The driver was then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by a Mercy Air 22 helicopter. There was no update on the condition of the driver.
It's unclear whether there were any other injuries.
The crash caused the closure of both directions of Kiowa Road for the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
