Madera, CA. – A 53-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Madera, the Madera Police Department said.

Emergency personnel responded to the area and found the pedestrian lying down in the southbound lane of Raymond Road with trauma to his head and body.
Medics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead.
The 71-year-old driver of the car involved cooperated with investigators.
