Man Dies after Temecula Car Crash on SR 371 near Cahuilla Creek Bridge

, CA. – A driver who was seriously injured after colliding with a near Temecula last week Thursday has died.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:42 p.m. on State Route 371 just north of Cahuilla Creek Bridge.

A 72-year-old County man was driving a 2024 Toyota Camry southbound on SR-371 when he crashed into a jackknifed 2019 Ford Transit van pulling a 2003 Carso Fun Runner travel trailer.

The Toyota driver was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night.

A 66-year-old female passenger of the car was transported to Wildomars Inland Valley Hospital with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
