Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Meridian Avenue
San Jose, California (September 23, 2021) – A man died nearly one year after being involved in an auto accident in San Jose, according to San Jose police.
The accident happened at about 8:35 a.m. September 22, 2020 on Meridian Avenue.
Police said a man in a motorized wheelchair was trying to cross the road in a crosswalk when the ‘walk' signal changed and he was hit by a northbound Toyota Prius.
Pedestrian Dies after San Jose Crash on Meridian Avenue
The victim sustained major injuries and was hospitalized until he was pronounced dead on July 23rd, 2021.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
The accident remained under investigation.
