24-Year-Old Man Killed in Jents Lake Boating Accident in San Bernardino County
San Bernardino County, California (July 25, 2022) – According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, a 24-year-old man died in a boating accident that happened Monday afternoon on Jents Lake.
Deputies with the sheriff's department responded to the lake, located in the San Bernardino National Forest near Angelus Oaks, at around 1:07 p.m. after receiving reports of the accident.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 24-year-old man was operating a paddle boat when he fell into the water and drowned.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was being withheld pending family notification.
The circumstances leading to the fatal incident were not immediately determined.
An investigation is ongoing.
