Investigators said the pedestrian was walking west in the south crosswalk of Clairemont Drive when he was struck by a Honda Civic sedan driven by a 56-year-old man.

San Diego, CA. – A 54-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident that happened Sunday night near an intersection in San Diego's Bay Park area.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident transpired around 9 p.m. on Clairemont Drive at Iroquois Avenue.
Investigators said the pedestrian was walking west in the south crosswalk of Clairemont Drive when he was struck by a Honda Civic sedan driven by a 56-year-old man.
The man died from the injuries he suffered in the crash.
Police officers are investigating the cause of the accident but said DUI was not a contributing factor.
