According to the Long Beach Police Department, the man was attempting to cross PCH when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.

Long Beach, CA. – A man died after he was struck by a car Sunday evening on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, authorities reported.
The incident transpired around 6:35 p.m. west of Golden Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the man was attempting to cross PCH when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.
The Long Beach Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing, but police officers said speed, distracted driving, and impairment are not thought to be contributing factors.
