Salinas, CA – A man was hit and killed by a semi-truck on Friday afternoon in Salinas, according to the Salinas Police Department.
The incident happened at about 4:04 p.m. at B C Systems located at 1341 Merrill Street.
Police said the man was run over by the big rig pulling out of the loading docks.
The man died at the site of the accident.
The big rig's driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
The victim was not an employee at the facility, Salinas police said.
The incident remained under investigation.
