Man Killed, Another Injured in Kern County Collision on Interstate 5 near Fort Tejon Road
Kern County, California (January 15, 2022) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of a man early Friday morning in Kern County and left another person injured, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash occurred at about 3:45 a.m. Friday, January 14 on Interstate 5, just north of Fort Tejon Road.
According to the CHP, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons on the freeway.

One of the involved parties, only identified as a 26-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Another man sustained moderate to major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical. His current condition was not available.
The northbound lanes of the freeway were closed for the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
