Bakersfield, CA – A man was killed and two other people were injured following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in South Bakersfield Saturday night.
The deadly wreck occurred at around 8:50 p.m. on May 10 at the intersection of Hughes Lane and Holden Way, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Reportedly, an SUV for unknown reasons entered into the path of a northbound car on Hughes Lane, causing a broadside collision.
The impact caused the SUV to overturn.
A man was found beneath the SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another male passenger in the SUV was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the second involved vehicle, also a man, was taken to a separate local hospital with moderate injuries.
