Hesperia, CA – A male motorist was killed and three other drivers injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia Wednesday afternoon.
The San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to the deadly wreck at about 1:44 p.m. on Summit Valley Road near Foley Road.
Reportedly, a black Honda Accord, a blue Toyota Tacoma, a white GMC work truck, and a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle were involved in the crash. However, the manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
The impact left the Honda with major front and side damage. The Toyota Tacoma had significant front-end damage, the GMC work truck had veered off the roadway into the desert on the east side, and the FedEx truck was on its side in the southbound lane.
The male driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other vehicles sustained minor injuries but were not transported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
