26-Year-Old Man Killed in Hayward Crash near Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard
Hayward, California (October 5, 2021) – A man died following a traffic collision between a car and a semi-truck in Hayward early Tuesday morning.
According to Hayward police, the wreck happened near Tennyson Road and Hesperian Boulevard at around 6:08 a.m.
Police said a car collided with the big rig and two people in the car were extricated by firefighters.

The extricated parties were taken to Eden Hospital, where the driver, a 26-year-old man, was pronounced deceased. The passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
Police said alcohol was suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The Hayward Police Department is investigating the wreck.
