Man Dies in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident on Oak Street and 21st Street
Bakersfield, California (August 11, 2022) – Police are conducting an investigation into an accident that left a bicyclist dead in Bakersfield early Thursday morning.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident was reported just after midnight in the area of Oak Street and 21st Street.
A man riding a bicycle on Oak Street was hit by a vehicle in the area.
The victim was taken to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced deceased.
The involved motorist reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The identity of the bicyclist was not immediately released.
