The unidentified man was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries

Portland, Ore. – A man died after being hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle early Sunday morning in Portland.
The accident was reported at around 3 a.m. at Southeast Belmont Street and Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Authorities say a bicyclist was struck by a sedan driven by 22-year-old Shane McKeever.
Emergency crews responded to the crash and found the bicyclist lying next to his bicycle.
The unidentified man was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
McKeever fled the scene after the crash but was later located and arrested. He was booked into Multnomah County Detention Centre and will face charges of first-degree manslaughter and reckless driving.
More details about the crash were not released.
The accident remains under investigation.
