A man was trying to cross the northbound side of the freeway when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla sedan

San Jose, CA.- A man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in San Jose on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Interstate 280, just south of SR 17 at about 5 a.m.
A man was trying to cross the northbound side of the freeway when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla sedan.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
