Los Angeles, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Friday night in Lake Balboa near Van Nuys, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The accident happened around 8:11 p.m. on Woodley Avenue between Burbank and Victory boulevards.
Police say a 45-year-old man was struck by a speeding SUV.
Officers responded to the incident and found the victim lying in the roadway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
