1 Killed, 4 Injured in Car Accident at Bancroft Avenue and Church Street in Oakland
Oakland, California (December 31, 2021) – A man was killed in a traffic collision on Friday afternoon in Oakland.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bancroft Avenue and Church Street.
A driver was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light and collided with another car.
The man who was driving the other car was killed in the accident.
Another driver and two passengers were taken to a hospital with injuries.
The driver who ran the red light was also hospitalized with injuries. He was also arrested after police found a gun in his car.
