Long Beach, CA. – A man died after being hit by a car while riding a scooter Saturday morning at an intersection in Long Beach, the Long Beach Police Department said.
The collision took place around 6:20 a.m. on Ximeno Avenue and Shaw Street.
A man was riding a scooter at the intersection when he was struck by a Ford C-Max traveling south on Ximeno.
The man was hospitalized for his injuries but later died at the hospital.
The woman driving the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Investigators are looking into whether the man may have run a stop sign at the intersection before the crash.
