Capitola, CA.- A man was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle in Capitola last week on Thursday, according to the Capitola Police Department.
The incident took place on Bay and Capitola avenues on July 3.
A man was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection when he was struck by a northbound SUV.
The man was airlifted to a trauma center in serious but stable condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
