Man Seriously Hurt, Darin Rogers Arrested After DUI Redding Truck Accident at Oasis Road and Akrich Street
Redding, California (July 19, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a DUI collision that left a 30-year-old man with critical injuries on Sunday morning in Redding.
According to a local news source, the collision occurred at around 8:09 a.m. July 17, at Oasis Road and Akrich Street.
Per the report, a Dodge Ram struck a Ford Focus at the intersection. The Dodge was traveling north on Old Oregon Trail while the Ford was heading west on Oasis Road at the time.
Responding firefighters and medical personnel attended to the injured parties. The Ford driver, only identified as a 30-year-old man, suffered critical injuries and was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
The Dodge driver, identified as 61-year-old Darin Rogers of Shasta Lake City, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. He was booked into Shasta County Jail.
An investigation is underway.
