Man, Woman Killed in Tracy Crash on 580 Freeway near Corral Hollow Rd

, CA. – Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash that left three other people injured early Sunday morning in Tracy.

At around 2 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a traffic collision on the Interstate near Corral Hollow Road.

A Honda Accord was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a Kia Telluride.

The 18-year-old Antioch man who was driving the Honda was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

A 32-year-old woman who was driving the Kia was taken to San Joaquin General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

A 35-year-old and a 2-month-old girl in the Kia were transported to General Hospital for treatment of major injuries.

A 4-year-old boy in the Kia was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
