Margarita Aros Hurt in Deadly Riverside Accident on Hayes and Roosevelt Streets
Riverside, California (March 17, 2022) – Margarita Aros, 7, was injured in a fatal crash that killed her 2-year-old brother and nanny in Riverside Tuesday afternoon, a local news reported.
The accident took place at Hayes and Roosevelt streets near Liberty Elementary School at about 3:50 p.m. March 15.
Margarita was being picked up from school by their nanny Eligia Del Rosario Morales, 58, of Riverside, and Margarita's baby brother Julian Aros, 7.
The three were in a crosswalk trying to cross the street when they were hit by a blue 2020 Range Rover that was westbound on Hayes Street and attempted to make a left turn on Roosevelt Street.

The crash left Morales and Julian deceased at the scene.
Margarita sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The involved motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
