Maria Esquer ID'd as 59-Year-Old Woman Killed in Tracy Crash at Bird Road and 11th Street
Tracy, California (April 26, 2022) – Maria Esquer, 59, from Patterson, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a Sunday afternoon traffic accident in Tracy, according to the San Joaquin County Coroner's Office.
The crash happened at around 2:26 p.m. on April 24, on Bird Road and 11th Street.
According to California Highway Patrol, a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by a 34-year-old Patterson woman, was headed southbound on Bird Road when it collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. The two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time.
The PT Cruiser reportedly had a green light when the accident occurred.
Maria Esquer Killed in Crash at Bird Road and 11th Street
Esquer, who was a passenger in the PT Cruiser, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 34-year-old Patterson woman and a 10-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in the accident. The girl was also a passenger in the PT Cruiser.
The intersection was closed for hours as crews worked at the scene.
