Maria Smith Injured in Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395 in Mono County

Mono County, California (December 6, 2021) – Maria Smith was airlifted to a hospital Sunday morning after a traffic collision that left two drivers dead on a highway near Mono City.

The victims killed were Noah Fogg, 22, Mammoth Lakes, and Richard Smith, 78, of .

The two-car crash took place on near on December 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Fogg was driving a Dodge Neon northbound on Highway 395 when, for unknown reasons, the Neon drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a southbound Toyota pickup driven by Richard Smith.

A passenger in the Toyota, Maria Smith, was airlifted to Renown Medical Center in Nevada in unknown condition. Her husband, Richard Smith, died in the crash.

Fogg, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was also killed in the crash.

Both vehicles were towed away for evidence.

Police are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
