According to the report, Marvin Lee Cudd Jr., 76, who was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus, was stopped on the shoulder of the highway facing westbound
Deschutes County, OR. – A man from Sunriver was killed in a collision between two vehicles in Deschutes County on Friday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police.
The incident took place on Highway 97, near Milepost 164, at about 2:22 p.m. on May 23.
According to the report, Marvin Lee Cudd Jr., 76, who was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus, was stopped on the shoulder of the highway facing westbound.
He then tried to drive across the highway and the Ford was hit on the driver's side by a Chevrolet Silverado 2500 traveling northbound.
Cudd was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Joshua Dale Musick, 43, of Christmas Valley, was treated for minor injuries.
The Oregon State Police are investigating the incident.
