Mary Hardin Killed in Fresno Car Accident at Highway 41 and Manning Avenue

, CA. – 65-year-old Mary Hardin of Helotes, Texas, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a suspected DUI that happened on Saturday evening in Fresno.

The 8:30 p.m. accident occurred at the intersection of and Manning Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police say a man was driving a Ford pickup truck when he crashed into the rear of Hardin's Nissan that was stopped at a red light at the intersection. The impact of the collision pushed the Nissan into a stopped Camaro.

Hardin was killed in the accident, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office.

Police say the woman was in the area serving as part of a Mormon Missionary.

A passenger in the Nissan was transported to the hospital with significant injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, 54-year-old David Alvarado of , was hospitalized with minor injuries before being arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The driver of the Camaro was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
