Mary Henderson Among 2 Killed in San Francisco Crash near 3rd and Mission Streets
San Francisco, California (May 23, 2022) – Mary Henderson, 72, of Vero Beach, Florida, died following an auto-pedestrian collision that happened near a San Francisco intersection on Sunday evening, according to authorities.
The tragic incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. May 22, near 3rd and Mission streets in the Yerba Buena neighborhood.
According to police, the collision involved a taxi cab and a second vehicle. The taxi cab went into the sidewalk and collided with three pedestrians, including Henderson.
Henderson and one other pedestrian, Willa Henderson, 72, of Vero Beach, Florida, were both killed in the accident.
The third victim and the operator of the taxi were hospitalized for their injuries.
Police are working to determine what led up to the incident.
