Matthew Zink Killed in Chatsworth Bicycle Accident on Plummer Street
Chatsworth, California (January 6, 2021) – The Los Angeles Police Department identified Matthew Zink, 58, as one of the victims of a deadly bicycle collision in Chatsworth on Tuesday night.
According to the report, the wreck happened on Plummer Street at around 7:10 p.m. January 4.
Nelson Rodriguez, 58, was reportedly driving a red 2006 Toyota Tacoma westbund on Plummer Street when he struck Zink and another cyclist.
Police said Rodriguez fled the scene after the incident and collided with several other vehicles and property in the area. He eventually stopped when he slammed into a wall near Knapp Street and De Soto Avenue.

Zink and the other rider, identified as Ana Hernandez, 37, died at the scene of the crash.
Rodriguez was taken to hospital for treatment and then arrested on suspicion of murder.
The crash remained under investigation.
