The Gilroy woman was trying to cross the road and was hit by a tan Chevy Suburban traveling west
Monterey County, CA. – 23-year-old Maximina Solano-Sabino, of Gilroy, has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being hit by a car on Thursday morning in Salinas.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 6 a.m. on Nashua Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Gilroy woman was trying to cross the road and was hit by a tan Chevy Suburban traveling west.
Solano-Sabino was killed in the accident, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.
DUI was not suspected in the crash.
The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
