, California (September 13, 2021) – A woman was killed in a traffic collision that occurred in Huntington Beach on Saturday evening, according to the County Coroner's Office.

The incident happened on Pacific Coast Highway, just south of Warner Avenue, at around 8:17 p.m. September 11.

According to deputies, Meghan Wautlet, 22, of Huntington Beach was riding on a motorcycle that was being driven at a high rate of speed and erratically northbound on the PCH when the motorcycle collided with a northbound vehicle that was trying to make a U-turn.

Wautlet died at the scene of the collision.

The man driving the motorcycle was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash.

The accident remained under investigation.
