Pedestrian Injured, Melissa Williams Arrested after Porterville Accident on North Main Street

Porterville, California (March 22, 2022) – Melissa Williams, of Lindsay was arrested after being involved in a suspected DUI pedestrian crash in Porterville Saturday night.
According to the Porterville Police Department, the crash was reported in the 1000 block of North Main Street at about 8 p.m. March 19.
Police said Williams was driving a vehicle when, for unknown reasons, she drifted off the side and collided with a 25-year-old woman.

Emergency crews found the victim lying on the side of the road with major injuries.
The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
Williams reportedly showed signs of being under the influence of drugs and was arrested.
She was booked into the Tulare County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
The Porterville police are investigating the incident.
