Injuries Reported in Menifee Collision on Interstate 215 Freeway near State Route Highway 74
Menifee, California (February 3, 2022) – Injuries were reported following a traffic collision involving four vehicles in Menifee on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 7:32 a.m. crash happened on the Interstate 215 Freeway near the State Route Highway 74 interchange.
A gray Chevrolet Camaro slammed into a white Honda in the northbound lanes of the Escondido Freeway, the CHP said. The impact pushed the Camaro into a ditch on the side of the freeway.
A semi-truck and another car became involved in the collision. The driver of the Camaro was allegedly driving recklessly prior to the crash.
Medical personnel responded to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. The extent of the injuries sustained in the crash was not immediately available.
The Honda and the Chevrolet Camaro were towed away from the crash site.
