1 Hospitalized with Serious Injuries after Merced Car Crash on Oakdale Road near Highway 59
Merced, California (January 14, 2022) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that occurred Friday morning in Merced, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck took place at about 6:29 a.m. on Oakdale Road, just west of Highway 59.
CHP said a semi-truck, a 4-door sedan and a third vehicle were involved in the accident. The sedan acquired a broken axle and left side damage, and the big rig acquired major front-end damage.
One person sustained a possible broken leg. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the patient to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
No other details were given about the collision.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
