Two Hospitalized after Merced Crash on G Street; Lori Gallo Arrested
Merced, California (January 23, 2022) – Two people were injured in an alleged DUI crash Thursday in Merced, police said.
The collision took place on G Street on Thursday, January 20.
According to the authorities, Lori Gallo, 47, was driving her car southbound on G Street at approximately 125 miles per hour when she tried to pass another car that was heading in the same direction.'
Gallo ended up to close to the other vehicle and side-swiped it. Gallo's vehicle then struck another vehicle that was stopped at the nearby intersection.
As a result of the collision, Gallo's vehicle and another vehicle veered off the roadway and into a ditch. A fourth vehicle struck debris on the roadway.
2 Hospitalized after G Street Crash
Two patients were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions.
Gallo was arrested for felony DUI and collision causing injury.
