At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Merced Big Rig Crash on Ashby Road at Beachwood Drive
Merced, California (October 16, 2021) – At least one person was hospitalized Friday afternoon after a big rig collided with another car in Merced, the California Highway Patrol said.
At around 4:32 p.m., a red Ford Fusion collided with a big rig on Ashby Road at Beachwood Drive under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
At least one person was taken to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of major injuries and the complaint of pain to the right leg.
The Ford Fusion was towed away with crash damage. The big rig also acquired major crash damage.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
