Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Merced Accident on State Route 99 at V Street

Merced, California (November 5, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries following a traffic collision Friday afternoon in Merced, the California Highway Patrol said.
The major injury crash took place on State Route 99 near V Street on November 5.
As per the CHP report, a rider was hit by a loose tire on the southbound lanes of the roadway under unclear circumstances.
Officials confirmed that a Dodge pickup vehicle had stopped near the crash site on the V Street off-ramp, but they did not say whether it was involved in the crash.
Due to the impact, the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike into the right-hand shoulder of the highway.
Major Injury Merced Motorcycle Accident
The unidentified victim sustained major injuries following the collision. Paramedics attended to the victim before rushing them to an area hospital for medication.
At the time of the report, only a few details regarding the crash had been revealed.
