Man Seriously Injured in Merced County Motorcycle Accident at North Santa Fe Drive and West Avenue Two
Merced County, California (February 21, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday evening in a collision with a vehicle in Merced County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
At around 5:13 p.m., authorities responded to the area of North Santa Fe Drive and West Avenue Two, just outside the city of Atwater, to investigate the report of a traffic crash.
The officials said a man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on North Santa Fe Drive when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a Ford Escape that was attempting to turn from the left turn lane of westbound North Santa Fe onto West Avenue Two.
Major Injury Crash in Merced County
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately available.
Three occupants of the Ford were not injured.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
