1 Seriously Injured in Meridian Crash Sunday morning on Highway 20 near Meridian Road
Meridian, California (January 24, 2022) – One person sustained serious injuries following a traffic collision that happened Sunday morning in Meridian, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision happened just after 8:00 a.m. Sunday, January 23, on Highway 20, a mile east of Meridian Road.
CHP said three vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the highway. One of the vehicles veered 20 feet off the roadway and had major front-end damage.
Major Injury Traffic Collision in Meridian
One patient was taken to the Adventist Health and Rideout with major injuries, including a broken leg. The name of the victim and their condition at this time are unknown.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 20 were shut down following the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation.
