Michael Grossman ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 101 Crash near San Antonio Road in Novato

Marin County, California (March 7, 2022) – The motorcyclist who died Monday morning following a rear-end collision in Novato has been identified as Michael G. Grossman, 46, of Petaluma, according to the Marin County coroner's office.
The deadly crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101, just south of San Antonio Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP said Grossman was splitting lanes on U.S. Highway 101 when traffic ahead abruptly slowed down and he crashed into the back of a van.
Grossman's motorcycle then spun around and slammed into a truck in the slow lane.

Grossman was thrown off the bike upon the impact and died at the crash site.
The crash prompted the police to temporarily close the two southbound lanes near Olompali State Historic Park.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
