Michael Hein Identified as Person Injured in Fatal Sonoma County Crash on River Road

Sonoma County, California (October 8, 2021) – Michael Hein, 27, of Sebastopol, has been identified as the person who was injured in a Thursday morning Sonoma County Transit bus accident that killed a man near a winery in Guerneville in Sonoma County, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened shortly before noon on October 7, on River Road, west of Odd Fellows Park Road near Korbel Champagne Cellars.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tacoma was headed eastbound on River Road while the transit bus, operated by Hein, was traveling westbound on the roadway.
The Toyota reportedly swerved into the opposing lane directly in front of the bus. Unfortunately, the bus crashed into the right side of the Toyota.
As a result of the crash impact, the Toyota was pushed westbound several feet where it flipped over, ejecting the male driver, the officials said.

Sadly, the male driver of the Toyota sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Hein sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Five other parties on the bus were not injured in the mishap.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
