Simi Valley, CA.- Michael Sorensen, 55, of Simi Valley, was killed in a crash between a vehicle and a bicycle in Simi Valley on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.
The accident took place at about 1 p.m. on West Los Angeles Avenue and Quimisa Drive.
Police said Sorensen was riding a bike south on Quimisa Drive when he failed to stop for a stop sign and was hit by a car heading west on Los Angeles Avenue.
Sorensen was killed in the accident.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The intersection was shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
The incident remained under investigation.
