Minor Injuries Sustained in Arcata Car Crash on Highway 299 and Highway 101

Arcata, California (June 23, 2022) – Minor injuries were sustained following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday night in Arcata, Humboldt County, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The collision happened at around 8:17 p.m. on June 22, on Highway 299 and Highway 101 E connector.
As per the report, two vehicles, including a Toyota Land Cruiser, collided for unknown reasons. Airbags were reportedly deployed in one of the accidents following the accident.
Firefighters and medical personnel arrived at the scene to attend to injured persons. Only minor injuries were reported in the accident.
The vehicles were blocking the highway following the accident. The Cruiser had a blow-out front wheel due to the crash.
The two cars were towed away from the crash site.
The roadway was clear by around 9:12 p.m.
Further details regarding the incident were not immediately provided.
An investigation is underway.
